The newest format by Muzotanz Dance Company - Danceperimental – the performance that is never the same! (which is exactly why you can watch it as many times as you want!)

Danceperimental is an interactive dance performance with live music that engages the audience in co-creation. The boundary between performers and spectators is dissolved through an old telephone which invites the audience to contribute their personal stories to the making of the show. Each viewer can choose whether or not to participate.

The dance and music are entirely improvised, born in the moment, from and within the presence of the audience, and inspired by their shared stories.

It is a form of social physical theatre that creates a safe space for meaningful, implicit social dialogue.

Since 2022, Danceperimental has gained growing recognition, with over 20 performances on stages in Bulgaria’s capital and beyond. In 2024, it was invited to the Contemporary Dance Festival “Dance Routes” in Varna, and in 2025, it became part of the regular programme at RCCA “Toplocentrala” following its selection in the Open Call for Finished Productions. Over the years, the creative team has brought together seven dancers and two musicians, with the format continuously evolving and expanding.

In 2026, Danceperimental received two awards at the International Theatre Festival “Art Trema Fest” in Ruma, Serbia: a Golden Plaque for overall design (music, sound, and lighting) and a Bronze Trema Mask for Best Performance.

Ina Gerginova is a choreographer, dance artist, actress, and teacher. She is the founder of the Muzotanz Dance Company. The company's main focus is social engagement in the arts. Ina is interested in interdisciplinary and experimental formats. In her works, she explores the use of dance dramaturgy and large-scale scenography. In 2022, she directed her first short dance film, Inner Room. In the same year, she participated in the ATLAS training program for choreographers at the ImPulsTanz festival.
