"Prima Facie" is a legal term that means "at first sight". Tessa Ensler is a young lawyer, talented, funny, self-confident. She manages to go a long way with will and talent - from a poor family in a small town, through education at the Cambridge Law School, to a specialist in the most prestigious law firms. She has dedicated her life to serving a system in which she unconditionally believes. She plays only by the rules. At one point, her life changes and this same system is called upon by her to deliver justice. It turns out to be impossible.
