RE(W)RITE! is an immersive performance, a ritual space devoid of fictional elements, roles or characters, that takes the audience on an emotional, participatory, journey.

RE(W)RITE! invites its guests to a universe of silent, intimate and shared experiences.
Can we stretch the borders of intimacy, even in the encounter with perfect strangers?

TanTou creates human-specific performances ie. experiences that are not simply related to the audience, but directly dependent on the audience. Re(w)rite wants to create a meeting between strangers. A meeting that does not depend on words, but is intimate and up-to-date.

The duality of the show's title means that we don't just have to rewrite ourselves.

We sit on the benches, there are ten meters to the opposite benches. "Those of us who have once been in love pass through to the other side." Everyone gets up and leaves. Gradually, the questions become more personal. "Those of us who are in crisis right now get through to the other side." We get to know each other deeply just by watching who walks back and forth on the floor. I worry about a young man whose answers are dark. But he finds a place for his darkness So do the rest of us.

Finally, we say goodbye to our partner. No words, just the way we like it. Some hug each other, others just look into each other's eyes. We go out in silence, no need for words.
