OUT OF THE BLUE is a collection of portraits of different solo artists lead by choreographers Christophe Béranger and Jonathan Pranlas-Descours. The portraits are developed collaboratively with the artists involved, based on the latter’s personal histories and narratives. The choreographic archipelago focuses on proximity with the audience in an immersive protocol that unites them all. 
The presentation format of OUT OF THE BLUE # SOFIA will be depending on context, site and the identities of the locals collaboration. One of the motivations for working this way is also due to sustainability concerns - how to continue with inter-cultural conversations, how to adapt to uncertainties, and how to negotiate international presentation in the light of the pandemic and environmental crisis.

Work language: English

The participants must be comfortable with improvisation and site specific performance:
> The performance will include proximity with audience (INDOOR and/or OUTDOOR situations), and long duration
> The performance will include group choreography and solos
> The performance is open to all age, gender, body type, and even looking for as much as diversity you can bring to it. 
> Participants can be dancers / performers / acrobats / actors/ singers with body skills or any curiosity in being part of a physical performance
> Participants must be free for all the workshops and performance for the whole period of the workshop.
> The choreographers are looking for encounters of cultural identities, multicultural individualities, local artistic statements to inspire the frame of this work.
