CO-PRODUCTION 2027
Cube Gallery – Toplocentrala

Cube Gallery – Toplocentrala announces an open call for the co-production of an exhibition project in 2027. A co-production is a project selected by a professional jury and realized jointly by Cube Gallery and its authors. The selected project will be presented at the gallery for a period of at least one month.

The open call is aimed at artist-led and curatorial projects that develop and expand the programme of Cube Gallery and offer a contemporary perspective on contemporary art. We are looking for bold creative ideas, a relevant artistic and critical focus, and projects with the potential to create new connections between artistic practices, disciplines, and audiences.

Particular attention will be given to projects that:

• address current themes and processes;
• develop contemporary artistic and visual languages;
• experiment with formats, media, and artistic approaches;
• create connections between different disciplines;
• offer a contemporary perspective on historical and cultural processes;
• have a clear concept and critical position;
• open up new cultural, social, or educational perspectives.

The call is open to artists, curators, artistic collectives, and interdisciplinary teams, regardless of nationality or stage of professional development. Individual and group projects, as well as artist-led and curatorial projects, are eligible to apply.

What does the gallery provide?

• funding of 80% of the project’s production budget (up to 4000 euro);
• exhibition space;
• production and technical support;
• communication and promotion of the project;
• development and production of a printed publication accompanying the exhibition, in collaboration with the gallery team.

Following the selection, the project will be further developed and realized in collaboration with the gallery team and presented at Cube Gallery for a period of at least one month.

As co-producer, Cube Gallery acquires contractually defined rights for the subsequent presentation and distribution of the exhibition, as well as for the publication of materials related to it.

Deadlines
Application period: 4 September – 15 November 2026
Announcement of results: 15 December 2026

Jury
The projects will be evaluated by a professional jury from the field of contemporary art.
