We are looking for non-professional actors over 60 for the performance: The Beginning

We are looking for non-professional participants (men and women) over 60 years old in the performance The Beginning of the famous actors Bert and Nasi. No previous experience is necessary.

The Beginning is an alternative dance performance of different beginnings - beginnings of performances, beginnings of relationships, beginnings of touching on all the joys, difficulties, excitement and exhaustion that come with starting over and over again.

You need to be comfortable walking and moving your body freely, but you don't need to be an experienced dancer. The movements you will perform are very simple. You will initially be seated with the audience and will be called up to the stage by Bert and Nassy. You'll learn a simple dance routine that Bert and Nassy perform midway through the show. You will then remain on stage and sit on chairs. Later towards the end of the show, you will have to read a text projected on a screen.

SCHEDULE:

First day 17.10. from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Hall 1 of the Heating Plant;

Second day 18.10 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Hall 1 of the Heating Plant;

Third day 19.10 (performance day) – occupancy 3 hours, to be confirmed;

Participants do not need previous theater or dance experience, but may have professional acting experience. Although the participants must move on stage, we welcome the presence of people in wheelchairs or with various special needs. On the spot how we can best support their needs during the performance and rehearsal process.

An artist fee is provided for the selected participants.

WHO ARE BERT AND NASI?

Forced Entertainment Award winners Bert & Nasi are two theatergoers working between France and the UK. Together they have created seven shows that have toured the world in prestigious venues and festivals such as the Adelaide International Festival (Australia), the International Theater Exhibition (Mostra Internacional de Teatro).(Brazil), the Festival de Otoño (Spain) and the PuSh Festival ( Canada). Their shows are direct and emotional responses to the here and now of the world we live in. Their latest work, which will also be performed at the Heating Plant - THE END, received the Total Theater Award in 2019.
