AIVAR OR LYUTENITSA is a co-production of the Organization for Contemporary Alternative Art and Culture – 36 Monkeys (Bulgaria) and Intimate Theater (North Macedonia).

Denny is Bulgarian, and Sofia is Macedonian. Two women in a competition on stage. Two women measure the similarities and differences between the two nations and create their own map of the Balkans with a lot of humor, music, self-irony, and personal stories.

Political disputes between two countries seen through the eyes of two women and their thoughts, dreams, problems, experiences, and fantasies. Do the things we have in common divide us more than they unite us? Is the past really important for countries, and the future for women?

The project is implemented with the financial support of Sofia Municipality, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of North Macedonia. The project partner is RCSI Toplocentrala.
