Following the first performance of the Naobratno project in November 2024, the remaining two texts written specifically for the format will also be presented. Naobratno is an improvised crime thriller that tells a story, but backwards. First, the ending, which was written specifically for the format (one of three texts), is read and performed, and then the actors create the beginning of the story on the spot, together with the audience. For the first time in the history of HaHaHa, a performance is based on a specially written dramatic text.
Following the creation of the Ontarboan format at the end of 2023 and the challenge it presented to the actors, this year we decided to make it even more complex and include playwrights. We selected three writers on a competitive basis to create three endings for three separate plays especially for us. They are: Katerina Georgieva, Zdravka Kamenova, and Radina Milanova. On November 26, Radina Milanova's text was selected at random.
In the spirit of improvisational theater, the audience will actively participate in the performance. The masters of improvised music will take care of the appropriate atmosphere for the thriller... the musical fakirs of improvisational theater, the jazz bards of HaHaHa—Dimitar Gorchakov and Andrey Velkov!
This project is implemented with the financial support of the National Culture Fund.
"Naobratno" in 2024 is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture.
The project partners are OSAIK-36 Monkeys and the EURODRAM BG Foundation.
