Aloni will introduce ideas and themes from their movement research practice, The I.Aloni Experience, which they have been developing through choreographic processes and dialogue with many of their collaborators.
The I.Aloni Experience approaches the body as an experience of being in the world and proposes that it is precisely through the collective that a body can appear.
Each session will include a collection of concepts introduced through guided improvisation and movement exploration. These proposals will invite participants to experiment with different perspectives and perceptions of the body with which they are dancing and the world (context) in which it occurs.
Sharing Practice is a format activated across many program activities of ICC. It invites artists to share their artistic interests, approaches, and curiosities with the local dance community, as well as with a wider audience interested in joining and practicing together.
This time is activated within the context of the HOT Bodies #5 program.
The format aims to create a space of mutual trust, where artistic exchange happens beyond hierarchical structures often present in educational settings. Instead of positioning one as a teacher and the other as a learner, Sharing Practice proposes a horizontal encounter—one in which participants explore, reflect, and find ways of practicing together.
These gatherings may take different forms: physical training, conceptual exploration, verbal exchange, or collective listening.
They can unfold through technique, free dancing, silence, conversation, partying, shared meals, or even gossip. Each situation opens a different mode of being together.
Sharing Practice is also a space to practice both giving and receiving—to share what one carries and to reflect on what is encountered. It values individual experience and curiosity as meaningful starting points.
The format is grounded in the belief that each of us has something to share, and each of us has something to receive. Learning happens within the process itself, without relying on predefined or institutionalized educational models.
