Jumping rope is so popular because it can physically put the body in a mirror image of the mental and emotional state. While the flesh is between two semicircles, sort of between two universes, in neither of which it has firmly set foot, it can feel what everyone strives for and everyone has felt the freedom to be immortal for a little while.
Samodiva Society is a community of artists who support each other unreservedly, and if you watch from the sidelines, it seems as if they have their finger on the pulse of the current times.
Samodiva Fest is an annual event that brings the entire community together to celebrate the opportunity to exist. This year, the ritual will take place at Toplocentrala, in the company of several very special guests.
First up is Tramhaus, the future legends from Rotterdam who are about to break the hardened steel of the British and American-dominated post-punk revival. The band is one of the most significant names on the scene right now and couldn't be any higher on the cutting edge.
Next up is Lufthansa, a band that could easily challenge groups such as BCNR or Geese to a magical duel and disrupt the natural course of history. Lufthansa hails from North Macedonia and sounds like it. A wonderful soundtrack for rapidly deteriorating new construction.
Joining them, again from our western neighbor, will be Golemata Voda—if you're looking for something new that no one knows about but will get you excited about live music, this is it.
On behalf of Samodiva, Scarlet, the boisterous factory for producing indie anthems, Yanichka Nushi, who literally flooded the playlists of young people with her hit 43, Bearing Flowers, who are capable of making an entire apartment block cry, and finally a surprise that we will discuss later, will take the stage.
