PASSING is an examination of the distorted field between being what you say that you are and saying what you feel that you are. It challenges the notion of identity and furthermore , that of its politics.
Why do so many of us try to pass the test in the school of social conformism? What are the processes and mechanisms we employ to affirm the identities we assign to what we perceive to be our-self?
After developing Boys Just Want To Have Fun - a durational performance for museums and gallery spaces, which disrupts social taboos around male sensuality and sexuality, in PASSING Aloni is working with a group of female identifying artists to trouble some of the taboos around female identities.
