dance spectacle
Identity, sound, and gesture drift like satellites, searching for a new gravity.
The shape of something once familiar. Or imagined. Or handed down without being asked.
In orbit – within the restless space between resistance and release.
Last Orbit explores impermanence, distance, and the sensation of disorientation in a world where old systems no longer function and meanings fall apart. Four figures find themselves in the weightless space of a vacuum – a place where gravity is replaced by nostalgia for “before,” and bodies dissolve into memories, projections, dreams, and a newfound intimacy.
Can we imagine the last orbit not as an ending, but as a beginning – the first impulse toward a new form of empathy, toward a new center of gravity?
Last Orbit is a performance by choreographer Deyan Georgiev, the outcome of a two-year research process. Following its premiere on May 20 in the Netherlands and on June 12 at Toplocentrala, the performance will be shown again on October 15 at 19:30 in Hall 1.

Deyan Georgiev is a transdisciplinary artist, performer, choreographer, and researcher based in Sofia, drawn to the fusion of artistic and scientific disciplines. His interests lie at the intersection of interdisciplinary frameworks, flow, embodiment, and hyperphysicality. He graduated from NATFA with a degree in Acting for Drama Theatre. He spent two years as part of the troupe of the Bulgarian Army Theatre, solidifying his foundation in the performing arts.
As a choreographer, he has worked on various theatrical productions, including Moby Dick (National Theatre, Sofia), Odysseus (Plovdiv – European Capital of Culture), The Son (National Theatre, Sofia), The Bell (Ancient Theatre, Plovdiv), Clean (Musical Theatre, Sofia), among others.
His solo performance, Wired (co-produced by One Dance Festival and Derida Stage) was selected for the prestigious Aerowaves Twenty23 program. Deyan also explores the intersection of dance and sensory inquiry, viewing dance as a deeply personal form of expression. He was included in Forbes Bulgaria’s “30 Under 30” list for culture, arts, and media. He deepened his choreographic expertise in the master's program at Codarts/Fontys, Netherlands.
