Unbearably Long Hugs

Two young couples – Charlie and his wife Monica and Emmy and Kristoff, who met by chance - discover that their lives are connected with a mysterious extraterrestrial being. Each of them is in a difficult situation, in which the world around them does not accept them, and they do not understand this world at all. Salvation comes in the form of an extraterrestrial voice, which offers each of them the chance to set off for another galaxy. The play touches on the socially relevant topic of migration and explores spiritual and sensual experience. This is the first production in Bulgaria of this play by one of the most interesting, euphoric and popular contemporary playwrights - Ivan Vyripaev. This is also the first encounter with Vyripaev's dramaturgy by director Kris Sharkov, who has explored the problems of modern man in a number of previous performances.
