I feel wired
Like fragments of my mind are stuck 
A silent moment under water is desired

I am burning out on what’s required 
So many thoughts 
So much space for my body to twist into knots
I move through rooms of consciousness 
Each one echoing a different version of me 

Let it be, they say
But what if being is the hardest part today

Everybody has a story 
Multiple stories folded in skin
Some whispered 
Some screamed 
Some of them you never let in

We adapt for the shock of what is yet to come
We soften
We tense
We break 
We silently dance

When you put your head under water, what’s your point of view
Is it escape or return 
A drowning or a ray of sun
