SHOOTING SNOW WHITE

It is a trip inside the glass coffin based on fairytales and gender roles. Shooting Snow White questions the influence fairytales have on our
understanding of truth and the development of self- perception and identity. In a costume of a live clownesque horror movie for one female body. Anna Lisa appears as the storyteller Sister G., who tells her own version of the Brothers Grimm fairytale. She is waiting. Waiting for her prince to come to take her away to a far away kingdom on a white horse. During the performance she embodies all the characters of the fairytale: Snow White, the stepmothers, the prince, the huntsman, the mirror, the 7 dwarfs until her body becomes material. She becomes the moderator of the tale and the long-awaited white horse. Following her self-composed soundtrack, she jumps impulsively from one role to the next.
She exposes herself and saves herself. She sings, dances, screams and cries her heart out. Apples become puppets, beetroot becomes a torn-out heart and a piano becomes a deflowered glass coffin.
