Sunny Beach

The performance "Sunny Beach" is a theatrical narrative about the crimes of the communist regime that remain concealed to this day. It is a provocation to our memory and our attitude towards it. The performance is based on excerpts from documents and authentic accounts of those imprisoned in the camp, intertwined with the history of the Sunny Beach resort complex, which was established in the same year, 1959. The aim of the performance is to keep the memory of the past alive so that we do not repeat its mistakes. Not to forget, but also to find a way to forgiveness, even when it is not asked for.

The performance was created with the support of the "Nikolay Binev" Youth Theater as part of the Youth Fair Festival.
