Trevoga Collective

Immerse yourself in a world of desire, seduction, and the dark side of modern escapism.

Raw, sensual, rebellious, and confrontational: the powerful dance collective Trevoga mixes pop culture, the club scene, "high art," and a pinch of dystopia in an explosive commentary on the spirit of our times. With their new work *Xx* -63, they immerse themselves in a world of desire, seduction, and the dark side of contemporary escapism.

When spaces once called underground are converted into luxury apartments, when corporations finance gay pride parades where we danced as if it mattered, only to realize that it never did.

Anxiety plunges into this afterlife, into a kind of antechamber of hell.

Following its award-winning performance *11 3 8 7* (Best of Amsterdam Fringe 2023; NRC Top 5 performances for 2023-2024**), Xx-63 delves deeper into the abyss of desire, temptation, and contemporary escapism through a peculiar hauntological remix of the recent past.

The result is a visceral dreamscape straight from the depths of the spirit of the times, where dance, visual images, theater, and sound collide in an unwavering reflection of urban excess and the weight of self-inflicted silence.

In *Xx* -63, the capitalist body is not a sacred space, but an abandoned mall, littered with the remains of consumer culture, synthetic chemicals, and sexually charged images. The performers writhe in a sticky fog of emotional exhaustion, where euphoric repetition begins to feel oppressive and withdrawal becomes not just a symptom but a choreography; a tactic for escape in a system that is cracking under the weight of its own excess.
