RABBIT is a dance tale about a boy who passes beyond, into the world of adults.
The Rabbit is small for his age, but quick and shrewd. The Rabbit is cunning, agile, and has long avoided the day when he must go through the Ritual.
One Sunday morning in late December, everything turns upside down for the Rabbit. The tribe takes up its eternal, old song, the elders put on their white shirts, stitched with red, and the group staggers towards the Rabbit, stamping their heels and sticks into the ground. The Rabbit swallows hard - is there any way to avoid growing up?
The "RABBIT" project is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria and the RCCA "Toplotsentrala". The materials for the costumes for the performance "RABBIT" were kindly donated by TexCycle Bulgaria.
"The rabbit turned in his sleep.
The dog growled in the corner of the cold hut. Grrr rab rab rab.
The men in the square raised a toast. "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah" - they shouted as they wrapped elbows around their neighbors and lifted the wine bottles. The toasts ended with a loud thump of sticks on the ground, followed by heavy footsteps with boots in a dance rhythm. Until it was time for a new toast, each one louder and noisier.
The rabbit suspected nothing, only quietly twitched twice with his large black eyebrows in his sleep. The moonlight illuminated his white face on the nest of rags."
