Life Is Harder Than Death

‘Life is Harder than Death’ at Cube Gallery - Toplocentrala is a direct exhibition of Stanislav Belovski - the works are an instant artistic reaction to the crises permeating our society - social, ethical, ecological, political. The works were created between 2020 and 2025 as street art, works presented in exhibitions, collages for social media. Remakes, manipulations of iconic works, they evoke an instant response and drive layers of associations.

Seemingly sheltered, turned on by news of tragedies and catastrophes, we need to remind ourselves that life can be worse than death.

• The exhibition's title references Rainer Werner Fassbinder's cult first film, Love is Colder than Death (1969).
