CUBE TALK

14 March (Saturday) — 15:00
CUBE TALK
with Sasho Stoitzov, Vladia Mihaylova (curator) and Veselina Sarieva (collector)

We invite you to a conversation at Cube Gallery accompanying the exhibition PASSAGE.

The conversation will bring together the artist Sasho Stoitstov, the exhibition’s curator Vladiya Mihaylova, and Veselina Sarieva, collector of the artworks and archival materials included in the exhibition. Together they will discuss the works in the show, the time in which they were created, and the different contexts through which they are encountered today.
The exhibition brings together lesser-known works from the 1970s and 1980s, along with notes, drawings, and conceptual texts from the 1990s. Some of these works remained in the artist’s studio for many years and have rarely been shown publicly.

The conversation will focus on the period of transition between two different artistic and social systems — a moment marked both by emancipation and by disintegration, which left a strong imprint on the ways art was thought about and produced.

Sasho Stoitstov (b. 1952, Blagoevgrad) is an artist associated with experimental and conceptual practices in Bulgarian art since the late 1970s. He works across various media, including painting, drawing, objects, installation, photography, and performance. He has participated in key exhibitions on the Bulgarian art scene since the late 1980s and 1990s and has realized numerous solo projects in Bulgaria and abroad.
