Children's Concert "Ship Adventures"

"Ship Adventures" is an interactive creative program for children between 4 and 12 years old. Inspired by their meetings with the children, the artists Margarita Petrova - actress and playwright, Zdravka Kantareva - artist and set designer and Milena Velikova - composer and musician create an interactive concert with an adventure story combining literary, theatrical, musical, visual and applied art. Children and their parents will discover a world of adventure and challenge, where fears are overcome with the courage of the heart and difficulties with the power of friendship.

The artists will tell, through original songs and dramatization, a story about the fateful meeting of three boys, in whose hearts the desire to realize their dreams is "throbbing". But how much better it is when the path to the goal is shared with like-minded people, and even better – with friends. By chance or destiny, they meet just when they need each other the most.

The adventure story "comes to life" through the MUSIC! Each character is introduced with a song, and each stage action is enlivened with a sound atmosphere. The perception of music responds to children's natural beauty attitudes and develops their aesthetic sense. During the concert, children and parents are active participants, taking on the role of narrators or singers of some of the songs.

Subsequent educational creative workshops for children and their parents turn the audience into an even more active participant. After each concert, they learn how the songs are created and have the opportunity to play musical instruments. The leader of the music studio is Dr. Milena Velikova - composer of the songs from the concert. In the creative educational studio of Zdravka Kantareva - artist and set designer, children make their own 3D card as a basis for stage design or their own character - a flat doll with moving legs and arms. Educational workshops are an opportunity to empathize with the creative process by going through the main components of creating scenery and music for a performance, training children's fine motor skills and cultivating aesthetic taste.

Concert "Adventures with a ship" takes place with the joint partnership of the Regional Center for Contemporary Art "Toplocentrala" and the Association "Alternative World Orenda".
