Voir, toucher, s’aimer fort

Renaud Dallet, carnet zéro, France

a choreographic piece for two dancers

Voir, toucher, s'aimer fort is a form of choreographic essay about meetings social non-standards.

Through this duet between the two dancers, Renaud Dallet wanted to experience a new possibility of meeting the other, new possibilities of being and relationships.

His choreographic research is based on his experiences in a psychiatric hospital. For several months as a patient, he observed other ways of seeing each other, of learning from each other and of coexisting. His extremely sensitive experiences could well be the beginnings of new ways of living together.

It is this form of the essay that leads Renaud Dallet to seek, through his artistic practice, ways of being in the world, with others, through encounter once again. Which leads him to think about the broadening of the form in the face of a diversity of encounters and the multiple possibilities for weaving a link, having an interaction sensitive to the other.

With Voir, toucher, s'aimer fort, the different modalities of the encounter remain to be defined regarding the reception of the other and the links that are woven in the struggle, the distrust, the solidarity, the love, the mimicry, the adaptation. In the heart of this meeting, the environment is transformed and tends to open up the representation space that we share.

The creative project is supported by the Fonds Régnier pour la Création / Mille Plateaux National Choreographic Center of La Rochelle / Ménagerie de Verre within the framework of StudioLab.
